| Day 1:
Chiang
Khong (Thailand) – Huai Xai (Laos) – Pak Beng by Romantic Mekong Riverboat |
Meet your guide at the Chiang Khong pier on the Mekong. After border formalities ferry across to Laos and transfer with guide to the Riverboat. Cruise scenic stretches of the Mekong to Pak Beng for overnight at the lodge, stopping along the way to visit local villages. Dinner in the lodge.

Day 2: Pak Beng – Pak Ou River Buddha Caves – Rice Wine Making Village – World Heritage Luang Prabang |

If you wish, visit the Morning Market before departure. Board your riverboat boat and continue downstream, stopping at the Pak Ou Buddha Caves, a stone grotto in the heart of a jagged limestone karst fronting onto the Mekong. Filled with perhaps thousands of Buddha images, this shrine was a favorite place of meditation and worship of the last King of Laos. Also stop in a Rice Wine making village before arrival in Luang Prabang. Dinner is on your own a any of the excellent eateries sprinkled around Luang Prabang. Ask your guide for suggestions, and enjoy your evening at leisure.

| Day 3: Luang
Prabang – Optional Almsgiving – Around World Heritage Site Temples & The
Town of Luang Prabang – Khuang Sii Waterfall – Optional Muang Swa Discotheque Experience –

Participate or watch the often mist shrouded daily early morning local Buddhist tradition of almsgiving if you choose. Then return to the hotel for breakfast, after which embark on a walking tour around the World Heritage sites, including Wat Visoun, Phousi Mountain, Wat Mai, Wat Xieng Thong and the National Museum. Dinner is on your own, and in the evening, if you wish explores the night market in search of collectibles and souvenirs.

| Day 4: Luang Prabang – Khuang Sii Waterfall – Onward |
Check out and drive to visit the multi-tiered Khuang Sii Waterfall. Explore the verdant forests surrounding it and enjoy a swim in the crystal blue water if you care to. Return to Luang Prabang Airport for your flight onward.
