North by North East makes every effort to provide the highest quality service for the best possible price. However, in these times of volatile exchange rates and rising fuel costs, tariffs may be subject to change due to conditions beyond our control. To ensure there are no misunderstandings we ask you take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following. If there are any questions or concerns we will be pleased to clarify as necessary.

Changes in Prices and Itineraries
Prices are provided as a guide only and may vary due to peak demand periods, changes in surcharges, fees or taxes or currency fluctuations. Note that the validity of the quotation does not include Christmas/ New Year period or Songkran festival (April 12-15). Many hotels or vendors could include last minute compulsory meal packages or minimum stays during these festivals.
North by North East Travel Services will inform you of any additional costs, if applicable, as soon as we are notified by the hotels/vendors, and will adjust the quotation accordingly. Please check all prices and information with one of our consultant before booking. The price of your package may change at any time up to 30 days before your departure if any new surcharges, fees or taxes are introduced or if any existing surcharges, fees or taxes are varied, even after you have paid all or part of the quoted price of your holiday. If we have to change any part of your booking for reasons beyond our control, for example, if an airline changes its schedules, if an hotelier overbooks, or if there are any changes in applicable surcharges, fees or taxes, we will notify you. If any such changes result in your costing more or otherwise being materially different, then you may cancel the holiday and we will refund any monies already paid less any charges levied by suppliers.
Hotel Accommodations
Accommodation in hotels is subject to availability. If the listed hotel is fully booked, alternate accommodation will be offered with or without increase of price. All hotel ratings are according to the local accreditation authority.
Airfares
A number of airfares can be used in conjunction with your package. All airfares are subject to availability and will be subject to the rules of the airfare purchased.
Note: Bookings with Vietnam Airlines can only be confirmed with passenger full name.
Deposits and Final Payments:
Full payment for your package is required at least 30 days prior to departure, or by sale end date or payment deadline specified in individual package conditions, whichever is the earliest. If for any reason your balance is not received by us by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and to apply the appropriate cancellation charges.
Note: A deposit holds services requested but does not guarantee prices.
Late Bookings
Bookings made within 30 days of departure will only be accepted if full payment is received by North by North East Travel Services at time of reservation.
- Prior to final payment: There will be no refund of any deposit paid.
- After final payment: There may be cancellation fees charged by airlines, hotels and ground/cruise operators amounting to all or part of the cost paid.
- Refunds: To the extent permitted by law, no refund is available for cancellations after package has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilized.
Cancellations / Change of Bookings / Complaints
The client can change or cancel a booking at any time before the start of a trip. Depending on the date the third party agent / hotel receives the notice of cancellation/change, the amount of the cancellation fee can vary. Usually hotels charge between 1-3 nights per room, for no-shows (especially during the high season) they might charge the whole invoice amount.
In addition to the fees charged by the third party, North by North East Travel Services is entitled to charge an additional cancellation fee as compensation for administrative efforts.
In case of any irregularities North by North East Travel Services should be informed immediately and given the chance to solve the problem. If the case is only reported after the end of the service, North by North East Travel Services does not accept responsibility.
Refunds
To the extent permitted by law, no refund is available for cancellations after package has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilized.
Air Travel
Air travel is subject to the conditions and limitations of liability set out in the airline's conditions of carriage.
Events Beyond Our Control
North by North East Travel Services does not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond its control including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of -government or of any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.
Booking Protocol:
3 months prior to arrival: pre-rooming list (so we can book flights and update hotels)
2 months prior to arrival: update number of persons in group
1 month prior to arrival: final rooming list and persons
